All donations received by the Youth With A Mission Foundation are gifts used to further the religious and charitable purposes of Youth With A Mission Foundation.

The granting of funds is restricted to those ministries, programs, and projects selected by the Board of Directors for support.

In the event that funds are received for a ministry, program or project that is completed, or deemed ineligible to receive funds, the Board of Directors will redirect any and all remaining funds. Gifts are non-refundable.

All contributions must be directed solely to Youth With A Mission Foundation .

A note may be included with the donation indicating your non-binding interest in supporting a specific ministry, program, or project. The Board of directors will make every effort to match your interest with the field driven needs of ministries, programs and projects, but cannot guarantee that the funds will be applied as you suggest.

A tax-deductible receipt for charitable donations will be sent out annually by February 28 of the following calendar year. If an email address is provided, a digital receipt will be sent there unless otherwise requested. If an email address is not provided, it will be mailed to the most recent home address on file.

All donations designated to ministries supported by YWAM Foundation are distributed to them on the 25th day (or closest business day) of every month, in the appropriate currency.

A 5% expense recovery is deducted from every donation received to cover administrative costs. Donations received through 3rd party credit card processing sites such as CanadaHelps and Charitable Impact are subject to additional service charges at time of processing.

Ways Donors Can Give

Cheque/Money Order

All cheques and money orders must be payable to "Youth With A Mission". We cannot accept cheques payable to an individual missionary or ministry.

You may indicate your interest in a specific missionary or project, by including a note or writing on the memo line of your cheque. e.g. "Joe Smith, serving with YWAM Vancouver"

We can accept US or Canadian cheques and money orders, however only a Canadian tax receipt will be issued.

WE CANNOT receipt multiple individuals for one donation. The receipt will be issued for the full amount received, to the individual whose name is on the cheque.

In the case of a group donation or fundraiser where multiple donors have given, please send ONE money order, payable to Youth With A Mission. Include a separate note with the name, address, phone, email, and amount given by each donor so they can be correctly receipted. Please DO NOT send any cash or written credit card details in the mail.

Post-dated Cheques

You may send post-dated cheques to provide consistent monthly support to be withdrawn on a day of your choosing.

Cheques are stored in a safe until the date they are deposited. All cheques must be payable to “Youth With A Mission”

Pre-Authorized Payments - For Canadian Bank accounts ONLY

Please complete the Youth With A Mission Pre-Authorized Payment Agreement.

Both pages must be completed, signed, and dated. A void cheque or bank issued proof of account information MUST be included with your completed agreement. You will be receipted annually.

Interac E-transfer - For Canadian Bank accounts ONLY

Please log into your personal online banking website, select e-Transfer, and enter our email address as the recipient- admin@projectfunding.ca. Next, please send us a separate email to let us know your name and address, as well as the name and code of the missionary/project/base. Usually no security question is required to send the transfer as it will deposit automatically. You will receive an annual donations receipt unless you specify a preference for monthly receipting in writing.

Credit Card donations - Charitable Impact OR CanadaHelps

For donors wishing to donate via credit card there are TWO third party options available online:

  Charitable Impact offers a processing fee option of 2.8%, in addition to the Project Funding fee of 5%. To donate via Charitable Impact, type in the name of the person, project or location you wish to donate to and hit the "donate now" button. If the name is not listed scroll down to “You can also give to YWAM directly”, click on Donate Now and put your comment in the message box.

  Please note: Some missionaries may have a private Giving Group due to security issues. If that is the case, simply contact them directly to get a direct link to their Giving Group page.

• CanadaHelps https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/ywam-project-funding/

  CanadaHelps offers a processing fee of 3.5%, in addition to the Project Funding fee of 5%. To donate via CanadaHelps, the “General fund” is the only option to donate to. Then, in the optional message field, please write the name of missionary project/base that you want the donation to go to.
